Sales Assistants Northern Ireland

sales assistants northern ireland
Has anyone gone to new york on a working visa?

I want to go to America to work and I’m just wondering has anyone here done the same thing? I want to go for a year and the whole visa aspect is a little more than confusing I have bar tending, restaurant and sales assistant experience.
What sort of wages should i expect in a full time job?
How is the cost of living different from Northern Ireland?
I would obviously be renting or flat share was also an option because at least i wouldn’t be totally alone because i intend to just go by myself.
I’m just looking for any information from people exactly what to expect and any good websites i could look at for info.

Thanks in advance.

The reality is that you will not be able to do that…sorry, but there are only 2 ways a foreign citizen can legally work in the U.S. ( this is similar to other countries.) You must apply to immigrate and get a green card…this takes an immense amount of luck and 5 to 8 years, IF you are eligible to apply. U.K. citizens are not currently eligible to apply…see 1st 2 sites below. Second way is to find an employer to give you a contract and sponsor your temporary work visa. This means you must be highly educated and have a much needed work skill. See 3rd site below. MANY U.K. citizens want to do what you want to do, or want to immigrate to the u.S., but it just cannot be done. Similar restrictions apply for foreigners wanting to go to the U.K. No one realizes the complexities of this type of thing until they actually check into it. You will find it easier to go to a E.U. country or a Commonwealth country. Or you could look into a working Holiday plan. See 4th site. Don’t give up….just open your mind to other possibilities and places so you can have the experience of spending time in another country.
