If your parents will support your travels for a year, then it sounds awesome. If you would be on your own and don’t have the money then it’s rather difficult to travel with nothing in your pocket. If you want to be a personal shopper, you might start by applying for a job in a department store. Learn the merchandise and concentrate on customer service. Give your customers reason to come back to you for help when they shop. Make yourself into the person that helps them find what they want, is truthful about what will look best on them, etc. After a few years of hard work, point out to your employeer that you would like to creat a position as a personal shopper if there is not such position where you are. If there is, apply for the job.
If you want to to into television or fashion, then you’ll need to find a school where you can study either of those subjects. Start by searching for mass communication or fashion design (and include your home state in the search) so you can see what is available in your area. But guess what. If you start on something and decide that you really don’t like it at all, it’s okay to change your mind. Most people your age really don’t know what they want. And of those to do, many change their major in college before finally graduating. You’ll be okay if you make progress and decide not to just sit at home and wonder what you want. Try something interesting and see if you might like it. You actually sound like you have ambition, so you might consider starting at a community college and seeing what types of classes interest you. That’s a good way to figure things out. Best of luck! You’ll be okay.
