Personal Shopper Information

personal shopper information
I need information about grocery store customer club cards that have benefits…?

Von’s, Ralph’s and other supermarket chains offer customer “club” cards that provide benefits to members. Assuming that a member must provide their club number when shopping at such a store, 1) what personal information might the store collect and retain about each shopper and 2) what shopping data might the store collect?

What are the benefits to the store and the customer from such systems? Are there any down-sides?

Usually, when you use their membership card they will provide some discounts for store members. Also if you see an item on sale (pay attention what the sticker says—like this price is only with this particular member card)…..so if you don’t have their membership card you will be paying a regular price at the register. So it’s a good benefit of having this card, and it’s free to obtain it. Also if a particular store has a gas station you might use this card in order to purchase gas with a lower price for members(again who has this store’s mem. card). I hope it helps.
