Which job at Nordstrom would you choose?
Personal Shopper VS. Restaurant job at “Nordie’s”
I will be interviewing for a personal shopper position this week and already had an interview for a restaurant position. I am confident I will get the rest. job but I am really interested in the personal shopper job. I just don’t know if it is the best choice b/c of the commission sales and I haven’t talked to the mgr. yet about hrs. (rest. job is PT). But which would you choose if you were me: restaurant or helping people pick cool clothes! : )
p.s. I need the job to be stable which is why I’m confused
Personal Shopper is NOT a stable job. Much depends on your sales skill because most of your salary will be commission.
The restaurant job is also quite dependent on tips, but should pay a higher base salary than shopper.
Between the 2, the restaurant job should give you more consistent take home money.
